The 18 Worst Wide-Release Opening Weekends of 2011
Fans of Stephen King's sprawling epic, 'The Dark Tower,' will be careful in regards to a movie adaptation. How will you condense seven books -- filled with numerous plot points, a lot of figures together with a twisting narrative -- into numerous films? One way is always to add Cinemax for the mix, which producer John Grazer introduced throughout interviews for his film 'Tower Heist.' First, somewhat backstory: after J.J. Abrams attempted, and not successful, to evolve the 'Dark Tower' books, in came Ron Howard and Grazer. In April 2010, the effective production duo introduced plans with an adaptation, which might include three movies along with two television seasons interspersed involving the films. However, that plan ended up falling short after Universal dropped the project over necessity. Howard and Grazer mentioned the film would finish up made, although getting a $45 million production cut. Now, Grazer notifies MTV News that there are been progress, no less than round the TV front. 'The Dark Tower' television component will probably be broadcast on Cinemax, according to him, which will come nearly as good news for hardcore fans in the book. By doing this, the seedier content from King's books might be used without requiring to handle people annoying network censors. Again, there's still no studio backing the film yet, causeing this to be all still being determined. Javier Bardem remains installed on star since the primary character, Roland Deschain.
