Falcon flies to Telemundo Media

NBCUniversal's The spanish language-language unit Telemundo Media has drawn on former Univision professional Alina Falcon as senior professional Vice president of news and alternative programming. Falcon, who has developed in the Hispanic media biz for 28 years, will participate in early December, confirming to Telemundo Media prexy Emilio Romano, who had been employed in September. "Alina gives the Telemundo executive team an abundance of experience and proven history in news management as well as in leading large procedures within the The spanish language-language media world," Romano stated. Falcon's duties at Telemundo includes managing network and station news procedures, on-air talent development and positioning in addition to alternative and reality programming including flagship courtshow "Caso cerrado disadvantage Ana Maria Polo" and daily morning program "Levantate." Falcon held various positions at Univision, together with a stint as news prexy from March to December 2010, when she was changed by Isaac Lee. Most lately, she offered as senior agent to Univision Systems prexy Cesar Conde. Just before this role, Falcon offered from 2005-10 as professional Vice president and operating manager of Univision, managing all the network's procedures along with the development and execution of domestic inhouse production. Formerly, she was professional Vice president and operating manager of Univision sister web TeleFutura from 2002-05 and was senior Vice president and director of Univision News from 1993-2002. Falcon was among the couple of remaining top executives from Univision's previous administration under former owner-chairman Jerrold Perenchio.
